Digital Web Magazine - Time To Change →
I’m following Digital Web Magazine almost from the day it’s born in 1996. Nick Finck is now asking his readers how the magazine cans change/adapt in the years to come. Along the years, the way I have consumed my information has changed. Here is my comment on the 500th article of Digital Web Magazine: First congratulation to your 500th article, only few can claim having accomplished...

UX > The Photojojo Store →
Looking for some gifts for Christmas, I end up at Photojojo, a community of photographers who like photo tips and tricks and nice gadgets. I really like their store. Simple to understand and use. I’ve the feeling that even my mother who still has some difficulties sending some email, will understand how to use this site. It’s pretty rare that I have nothing to say as an UX...

Why Apple Is Great At Interfaces When Others Are... →
The much underappreciated principle of pleasure. How the general look and feel of the original Mac interface was decided upon: Rather than survey a bunch of users on every decision, the Mac team decided each issue among themselves, invariably going for the option that might amuse a user the most, that would give a user the most pleasure, and therefore imbue the Mac with personality. That Apple...

When was the last time you looked at your business... →
“What’s the point of a business plan if it’s obviously a fantasy that has nothing to do with reality? If these projections are just numbers pulled out of thin air, why pay any attention to them? Wishful thinking doesn’t really benefit you in any way. It seems like most people write business plans just because they think they’re supposed to. They’ve been told a business plan is what a “real”...

iPod Touch Online Ad on Yahoo Games TBWA/Media Arts Lab created a spiffy new online ad for the iPod touch: it plays around with objects on the Yahoo! Games page as the ad plays. I must say that for a user who NEVER, but NEVER click on any online ads, I found that one very compelling and very hard not to notice. If you have chance today, please go see it on Yahoo Games for a real impact.

How To Reach Students Online →
“Today’s high-school and college students got their first email account at an average age of 13. Most students have had one of their email addresses for 8 years and have an average of about 2.4 addresses each. But if you really want to reach these students, you should forget email. Send a text message instead.” (via ReadWriteWeb)

iPhone Shortcuts And Tips →
Jeff Richardson has compiled a series of shortcuts and tips for the iPhone. Even I knew about the majority of them, I know that allot of my friends don’t have a clue about it (specially the one who didn’t know the little white square hanging on his headphone right earbud was a microphone). In the tips I didn’t know, I specially like this little trick to take better pictures: ...

Have you ever forgotten a password? 1Password takes care of all your online passwords so you can use strong and unique passwords for every site and never forget any of them! TaskPaper →
For a while I was simply using the default OS install TextEdit application to take note, write to do list and assign tasks to my team. For me there was nothing more simple than that, so nothing more useful. Until Frank found and shown me this little software, TaskPaper, a task and list editor on steroid. The base concept of the software even extend itself to other platforms (Windows, BBEdit)...

37Signals' Getting Real 2.0 is now signed with the... →
The working title of the book is for now Unconform and is planned to be launch in a year. As Jason said in the past, the book will be more oriented on the unconvential way they are doing and running their business compare to the actual book. Can’t wait to get my hand on it. This post where they describe how they end up signing with Crown is very interesting.

Metal Heart on Vimeo Frank just sent me this video by chat. What can I say? I’m just blowed away by it. Keith Loutit is just a f@#$ genius. It looks like he acheived this result of power wheels on stop motion by filming the different scenes with a special lens with a tilt view, by saturating the colors and changing the frame rate in post production. I’m so amazed by this single...
