Facebook Connect: The Next Great App War →
Interesting article (or good surface analysis) on how the Facebook Connect may change the social app widget integration in the coming year. The Facebook chat integration to the CNN presidential inauguration was indeed the first thing of mention since the introduction of the Facebook Connect API.

Google's GDrive - Close To Launch? →
Looks like many new rumors let us believe Google is near to launch GDrive, its unified online cloud storage service. Microsoft has already launched the Live Drive in beta sign-up. I’m currently using JungleDisk and the Amazon S3 cloud service to backup all my documents, pictures and music. In the end, the ease of use and the price plan will play in my final decision. Currently nobody...

An Interview with Tumblr Founder David Karp →
A very interesting interview by Doree Shafrir: By the time Mr. Karp was 19, a new word had entered the lexicon: “tumblelog,” which referred to short-form blogging. Fascinated by this new form of blogging, Mr. Karp says he “kept waiting” for one of the established blog platform players to set up a platform for tumblelogging. When, after a year, that hadn’t happened, Mr. Karp decided to do it...

Palm Pre is beating the iPhone at its own game →
An interesting post by Baekdal about the new upcoming Palm Pré iPhone look-a-like mobile phone: The unexpected sometimes happens, and the new Palm Pre is very cool - especially from an interactive design perspective. While there are many similarities with the iPhone in terms of the interface, there are a number of new things that really makes a difference. First of all is the mode-free...

Blizzard Diablo 3 →
I just learned today that Blizzard Entertainment is preparing Diablo 3. Diablo is the first game I ever purchased. Before, I always managed to get my PC games from my friends, but Diablo was requiring an unique ID key to play on the Battle.net network. I bought the game the first day it came out and after being installed, I didn’t left my chair for 16 hours straight. 16 hours without a...

Jolicloud - NetBook's New OS →
Tariq Krim (Netvibes Founder) who is working on Jolicloud, a NetBook Operating System: We love netbooks: they are cheap, compact, light and always connected via 3G. What we didn’t like so much was the user experience so we decided to build our own. We used Linux and made it boot faster and we optimized it for surf and cloud computing. We redesigned the interface and integrated some cool...

My Old Blog
In February 2003, Google announced they bought Blogger from Pyra Labs. Still wondering what I would have to say to the world, I decided to begin blogging in August 2004. At the time I was writing exclusively in French. Few months ago, my good friend (I still wonder why I consider him a good friend after what he has done!) deleted all the files and images from the server where my blog was...

The services that are shutting down included Google Video Uploads (make sense as Google own also YouTube), Notebook future development (I’m very sad to here that as the Firefox addon for it is kicking ass), Jaiku (a Twitter like micro-blogging platform that has never been launched), Google Catalogue Search (not a big surprise if you ask me) and the Mashup Editor (that nobody knows about...
