Sherlock Holmes 2009 Trailer

Here is what to appeared as the upcoming chritsmast day blockbuster: Sherlock Homes featuring Robert Downey Jr.

In a dynamic new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle’s most famous characters, “Sherlock Holmes” sends Holmes and his stalwart partner Watson on their latest challenge. Revealing fighting skills as lethal as his legendary intellect, Holmes will battle as never before to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.

We are far very far farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr from any novels written by Sir Arthurn Conan Doyle and the excellent interpretation of Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Homes in the Brithish television series: The Adventure Of Sherlock Homes. The trailer is so off from anything that were written on Holmes that I wonder were Guy Ritchie found his inspiration to co-write the screenplay?

I’m really sad for all the young who will believed they don’t need to read the books as they saw the movie.
