Online Backup from Backblaze

I already wrote about my backup strategy.

I’m currently looking if BackBlaze cannot be a better Mac OS X integrated solution for my online backup. The price is similar: $5 a month for unlimited backup per computer (iDrive is offering 150 GB for $4.95 per month, it’s not unlimited, but it’s closed). Note that both service are offering the backup of external hard drives attached to your computer. Contrary to BackBlaze, iDrive lets you backup multiple computers to the same account.

Blackbase is offering more commodities. In case of restore, you can still download your file online, but also order a DVD or External USB Hard drive of your backup files.

The first version of their MAC client has been launch not so long ago. They are offering a 15 days trial. I let you know how it goes.
