Andy Ihnatko for the Chicago Sun-Times: iPhone 3G S is a slick upgrade for a slick device.
The “S” in 3G S does indeed stand for Speed, which is something that this model communicated pretty damned effectively during my first few hours with the machine.
Everything feels faster. Safari on the iPhone 3G S seems as interactive as a desktop browser. At times, pages were being rendered so quickly over WiFi that I had to double-check to make sure that the usual time-suckers (JavaScript and plugins) hadn’t been turned off, and that I wasn’t using some sort of cut-down mobile site.
After reading this raving review by Andy, I wonder what to do. I don’t have a contract with Rogers, I can sell my current iPhone 3G to someone else and find an iPhone 3G S on the black market anytime soon.
Can I really hold my tentation?
