The Pacific - New HBO Series In The Making After Band Of Brothers
Just heard today that HBO is preparing another series on World War II called The Pacific. It is similar, although unrelated, to Band of Brothers. Whereas Band of Brothers focused on United States Army’s involvement in the European Theater of Operations, the new series will be about the United States Marine Corps’s actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations. It will still be produce by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks, the same who brought us Band of Brothers.
For me, Band of Brothers is the best TV series that has been created so far. Nothing, but nothing, can go beyond that. Even Dexter is not a match. I can’t wait to see this one with a budget of $150 millions.
