Facebook Now Running Over 30,000 Servers

  1. Facebook is now running somewhere in the neighborhood of 30,000 servers.
  2. The company is also collecting a whopping 25 terabytes of log data per day, which is supposedly “the equivalent of about 1,000 times the volume of mail delivered daily by the U.S. Postal Service”.
  3. The company now has about 230 engineers on staff out of the more than 900 employees.
  4. Over 600,000 photos are served each second. (read this one three times please)
