My single and latest post on the CloudRaker blog, the company I work for:
Before I even begin, I have to say that I didn’t really have a choice but to write this post. For several weeks now, I’ve been harassed, pursued and taxed to write on this corporate blog by my boss. Facing my perpetual refusals to write and participate, my boss, as a good torturer\mentor, decided to use his last weapon: “If you don’t write for the end of the week, you’re fired! So here’s is my first post under threat and mental torture ;)
Half-joking aside, I must say that beyond the exciting work I do as Director of the Interactive Experience, it is this relationship that I have with my bosses and colleagues at CloudRaker that satisfy me the most. Ok, ok so the open office area, large work space, flexible hours, music, cold beer and foosball table are great but the corporate culture based on openness, honesty, “no-bullshit” as we like to call it, are what make a difference in our relationships in the office and with our clients.
No one here claims to possess the absolute truth. I think that the “Dare to fail” mentality is what allows us to keep our sense of humor and have fun at work. I know that, for me, the fun I have with my comrades every single day is what gives me the energy needed to go ahead and design interactive concepts that are fun, different and often make a difference, cause a spark, bring a smile to our customers’ customers. Even that threat from my boss is included in the fun I have here at CloudRaker.
I wish to share with you some moments in our daily work lives so you can get a sense of what I’m talking about: follow this link to watch the videos.
