Thanks vs Gratitude
Here’s the reason why your best marking tool will always be to individually care about each of your customers. By caring, you will get more than just a thank you, you will win their gratitude. And grateful clients talk to and influence others.

The 5 Reasons You’re Failing In Social Media

David Armano:

1. You really don’t want to engage directly with customers, employees, etc.—you just want them to hear what you have to say.

2. You’re not ready to create new roles, update process, re-distribute resources and budgets, re-train people, and revise old policies.

3. Social media actually threatens how you make money—but you pay lip service out of fear.

4. Politics.

5. You see it as a career advancing opportunity as opposed to a significant business transformation.

Social has nothing to do with marketing and the two words together should not even coexist. It is all about caring for your customers and do the right things to get their satisfaction. Marketing will be the beneficial side effect.

Je Tue Un Ami.com
I’ve seen this viral web experience/campaign a while ago, but forgot to talk about it here. I’ve seen it back today and I enjoyed killing my colleagues again by Internet.
The concept is simple: choose your murderer, upload the picture of your friend, and see him/her being killed by your favorite mercenary. The killing approach goes from a clean shot in the head to a more radical and devastating death depending of the contractor you choose.
The viral campaign has been produced for the French TV channel 13ème rue, specialized in crime, fantasy, the paranormal and horror.
It is truly well done, in every details. Go kill your friend

Ikea Facebook Showroom Campaign

For the opening of their new store in the Swedish town of Malmo, Ikea engaged the agency Forsman and Bodenfors to create a rather special launch campaign.

This is what I call a good use of Facebook. Way more effective than f@#$ing banners.

Our first iPhone app. It goes hand to hand with the Geek campaign we did for the Infopresse Boomerang. Almost nothing, but you can imagine all the geeks in the audience using it over their eyes during the evening while Infopresse give the awards.
Download it here.
